Substance use disorder is a condition in which hazardous use, tolerance, and withdrawal of one or more substances leads to a chronic disease that impairs an individual’s brain and behavior. It is characterized by an array of spiritual, mental, physical, and behavioral symptoms that may cause problems related to loss of control, poor decision making, trauma, and lack of emotional regulation.
Many of us have engaged in poor, unhealthy, harmful, and injurious behaviors and habits at times. Outpatient Treatment offers counseling, education, and therapy that is encouraging and beneficial to individuals who are looking to understand, support, and reinforce their emotional stability, in all stages of their recovery. Clients are encouraged to seek out solutions, discuss, process, reflect, identify, and practice replacing old behaviors and habits with new behaviors and habits. Sessions are available in individual and group settings by a license professional in a safe and accommodating environment.
Although, Renewed Life Counseling Services does not provide Medication Assistant Therapy/ Treatment services (MAT), we believe that MAT can be beneficial and we support and treat clients who receive MAT services.
Medicated-Assisted Therapy/ Treatment (MAT) is the use of FDA-approved medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a "whole-patient” approached to the treatment of substance use disorders.
· MAT for Opioid Use Disorder
· MAT for Alcohol Use Disorder
· MAT for Smoking
Although, education and therapy are the foundation of recovery. With Counselors, Peers, Peer Support Specialists, probation, the community, medication assisted therapy programs, leaders, attorneys, and family, clients are given a multitude of resources, support, and roles models. It is because of this community support, that Renewed Life Counseling Services can help individuals find their purpose, live their vision for life, and rebuild our communities and families.
The Confidentiality of SUD Patient Records (42 CFR Part 2) is a federal regulation enacted to encourage substance abusers to seek treatment without fear of stigmatization or criminal prosecution. Updated regulations align Part 2 with the U.S. health care delivery system while retaining important privacy protections.
